Built to be used. Backed for life.

We make bags for people who actually use them. Bags that get dropped on courts, packed too full, shoved into overhead bins, and dragged across cities. We design and build them to take it.

When something does go wrong, we want to make it right. That's the Cancha Lifetime Warranty.

What's covered

The Cancha Lifetime Warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship. In plain English, that means anything that fails because of how the bag was made, not how it was used. Examples we'll cover:

  • zippers, buckles, and hardware that break under normal use,
  • seams or stitching that come apart,
  • webbing or straps that fail at attachment points,
  • fabric defects that show up in normal wear (not from accidents).

Coverage applies to the original purchaser of the bag, for the useful life of the product, on items bought directly from canchagear.com or an authorised Cancha retailer.

What's not covered

What's not covered

Honest list, no fine print:

  • Normal wear and tear. Scuffs, fading, abrasion, softening, and the patina that comes from years of use are signs of a bag doing its job, not a defect.
  • Accidents and misuse. Damage from drops, spills, overpacking, contact with chemicals, or improper care isn't covered. We'll often still help, but it's outside the warranty.
  • Damage caused by the contents. Leaks from a water bottle, a cracked racket pressing into the lining, that kind of thing.
  • Modifications or third-party repairs. If someone else has altered or repaired the bag, the warranty no longer applies to that area.
  • Loss or theft.
  • Second-hand and unauthorised seller purchases. The warranty is non-transferable. If a bag was bought through resale, Vinted, eBay, Facebook Marketplace, an unauthorised distributor or reseller, or anywhere other than canchagear.com or an authorised Cancha retailer, it's not covered. We keep an up-to-date list of authorised retailers and will confirm on request.
  • Final Sale, Sample Sale, and B-Stock items. Anything sold as Final Sale, Sample Sale, As-Is, B-Stock, Factory Second, Refurbished, or through an outlet or warehouse sale is sold without the Lifetime Warranty. We'll always make this clear on the product page before you buy.
  • Products with altered identifiers. If the serial number, batch code, or care label has been removed or made illegible, we can't verify the product and can't honour the warranty.

How to make a claim

Three steps. We'll get back to you within seven days.

Step 1.  Email us.

Send a note to hello@carrycancha.com with a photo of the issue, a short description, and your order number or the email you used to buy. The clearer the photos, the faster we can move.

Step 2.  We'll review and respond.

Within seven days, we'll either approve the claim or come back with questions. For US customers, if we need the bag for inspection, we'll send a prepaid shipping label. International customers, see the section below.

Step 3.  Repair, replace, or credit.

If your claim is approved, we'll repair the bag, replace it with the same model, offer a comparable replacement if the original is discontinued, or issue store credit up to the original purchase price. For US claims, Cancha covers shipping both ways.

Customers outside the United States

We ship Cancha bags worldwide from our warehouse in Los Angeles, and the Lifetime Warranty travels with the bag wherever it goes. The mechanics are slightly different for international customers, mostly because of shipping cost.

  • Inbound shipping. For approved international claims, customers cover the cost of shipping the bag back to our LA warehouse. A single international round trip can cost more than some accessories, and absorbing that cost would mean either tightening warranty terms across the board or raising product prices. We've chosen this trade-off so the warranty stays generous on what it covers.
  • Return shipping. Cancha covers the cost of shipping your repaired or replacement bag back to you, anywhere in the world.
  • Customs and duties. Any import duties or local taxes charged on the return shipment by your country are your responsibility. We can't pre-pay or refund these. Most countries waive duties on warranty replacements when the paperwork is filed correctly, and we'll mark the package accordingly.
  • Statutory rights remain. Nothing in this warranty limits the consumer protection rights you have under the law of your country (for example, the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015 or EU consumer directives). Those rights apply regardless of what we write here.

If shipping a bag internationally for repair isn't practical for your situation, email us at hello@carrycancha.com. We can sometimes offer a partial store credit or a discount on a replacement instead, depending on the issue and the product. We'd rather find a way to help than leave you stuck.

Why we do it this way

A lifetime warranty isn't a marketing line for us. It's a commitment to make products good enough to back, and to back them when we say we will.

It also means we have to design and build with the long game in mind. Better hardware. Higher thread counts. Joints that are reinforced rather than glued. The cost shows up in our spec sheets, and we think it shows up in how the bags feel after a few years of use.

If a bag is going to be used hard, it should be built to be repaired, not replaced. That's the standard we're working toward.

Common questions

Does "lifetime" mean my lifetime?

No. Lifetime means the useful life of the product under normal use, as long as we still manufacture the model or a reasonably comparable successor. It doesn't mean perpetual coverage. The full definition is in our Terms of Service.

I bought my bag second-hand or from an unauthorised reseller. Am I covered?

The warranty is non-transferable and covers only the original purchaser of a bag bought from canchagear.com or an authorised Cancha retailer. We'd still love to help with a paid repair where possible. Email us and we'll see what's feasible.

My bag was bought used. What's my recourse?

Sample Sale, Final Sale, and B-Stock items are sold without the Lifetime Warranty. This is shown on the product page at the time of purchase. We still want you to be happy with the bag, so contact us if something feels truly wrong.

My product is discontinued. What now?

If your bag is no longer in production and we don't have a comparable successor, we'll offer store credit up to the original purchase price. We try not to leave anyone without a fair option.

Who pays for shipping?

For US customers with approved claims, Cancha pays both ways. For international customers, you cover shipping to our LA warehouse and Cancha covers the return shipping back to you. Customs and duties on the return shipment are your responsibility. If a claim is denied, you're responsible for return shipping or you can choose to forfeit the product.

I purchased my bag from a retailer, not canchagear.com. Am I covered?

If the retailer is an authorised Cancha retailer, yes. You'll need proof of purchase from that retailer. We keep an up-to-date list of authorised retailers; email hello@carrycancha.com if you're not sure whether yours qualifies. Bags bought from unauthorised distributors, resellers, or marketplaces are not covered.

How long does the process take?

We aim respond to claims within seven days. Repairs typically take two to four weeks depending on workshop volume. Replacements ship within three business days of approval, subject to stock.

Can I gift my warranty?

The warranty is tied to the original purchaser and is non-transferable. If you bought the bag as a gift, the warranty stays with the original purchase record, which usually means it stays with you (the buyer). Reach out and we'll sort it out together.
